Save money with the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV - Formerly OLEV), is a government department that exists to promote the adoption of zero emission vehicles. Their Electric Vehicle Workplace Charging Scheme grant makes government funding available to businesses to reduce the cost of their EV charging solutions. The grant provides a 75% contribution, up to £350 for each charger installed, up to a maximum of 40 chargers.

Is your business eligible for the grant?

To be eligible for the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme grant you’ll need to meet the following criteria

  • Be a registered business, charity, or public sector organisation evidenced by a Companies House reference number or HMRC registration letter.

  • Have private off-street parking for staff or fleet vehicles.

  • Be able to declare a need for electric vehicle chargers or an intent to encourage uptake among your staff and/or fleet. Your business doesn’t need to own any electric vehicles.

  • Install OZEV approved chargers. Good news, all of our chargers qualify.

  • An OZEV approved installer must fit your charger. More good news, we only work with approved installers.

How do I apply for the grant?

You fill out a simple application. Your installer will discount the final invoice for the value of the grant, and claim it back later using the reference number from your application. This way you aren’t out of pocket whilst waiting for the grant to be paid.

That’s the OZEV WCS grant in a nutshell. If you’re happy to proceed, we’re more than happy to provide a quote for your charging solution.
